Operating principle
The ultrasonic open-channel flow meter consists of a sensor and control unit. Ultrasonic pulses are transmitted and received to measure upstream liquid level. For a channel conforming to JIS B8302, the relationship between upstream level H and flow Q is Q = KH n (K: flow coefficient; n: exponent). The control unit converts level to flow and also integrates flow.
