IMAI BO3 Brinell Hardness Tester

This machine applies a test force through a steel ball and presses it into the test material to form an indentation. It is a hydraulic hardness tester. Available test forces are 29.42 kN (3,000), 14.71 kN (1,500), 9.807 kN (1,000), 7.355 kN (750) and 4.903 kN (500). The test force is selected by removing or fitting weights. The steel ball can be changed for use with φ10 mm or φ5 mm sizes. Options include a specimen support (φ 240 mm) and a tilt-stop base (frame).
